WHO SAID DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND?

While taking care of some errands today, I noticed a sign that said " Mall Antiques". As I drove by I remember thinking to myself that "there was probably just a bunch of junk in there"! SAY WHAT! I love junk! I quickly did a u-turn. Once inside, my heart started beating faster because I don't think I had been in the presence of so much junk under one roof in a long, long time! Wow! What a fun half hour that turned out to be! There was a lot more so I will have to go back in a few days.

JUST LOOK AT THESE CLOCHES! They are old and heavy. I BOUGHT ALL THAT WAS THERE!

THIS OLD METAL EGG CARRIER HELD 8 DOZEN EGGS ,BACK IN THE DAY, IN THESE UNIQUE, LITTLE PAPER ROLLS THAT ARE HELD TOGETHER WITH OLD WIRE. LOVE IT!

AND HOW ABOUT THIS HAND MADE METAL CARRIER!

Well.I.Am.Gobsmacked. 3 fabulous old cloches for under $10? That knocked me off my chair, and then I looked back at the other photos and spotted loads of things I would have squirreled away as well. What an incredible stash of treasures. Those ceramic door knobs, sigh, and I have never seen anything like that egg carrier, what an interesting object that is.

How fun...we collect some of the same junk...I haven't seen an egg carrier like that however, how unique. My grandmother used to sell eggs in town but the rutted, muddy roads did not always allow many to make it to market. One time she had more on her apron than in the wrapped baskets...
thanks for sharing...very cool entry

You found some really cool "junk" there! Wow! Good thing you turned around and went back! LOVE that little pail, and the egg tin, and the knobs...it's all wonderful!

Thanks for finding your new-found treasures!

Warmly,
Lori

OMG Judy! I would have been in junk Heaven! This is just the kind of sale I love! You found those amazing things in just a half an hour. Think of the damage you could of done in an hour. We don't have many of those kinds of sales here...but if we did...I'd be broke.

Hi Judy,
Could you instruct me how to transfer patterns/images/ objects to fabric like you do? Maybe I could trade you somethiing in pay for your instruction, or I would be glad to pay you as well.
Miss seeing you, but we've been busy here in Michigan.
Thanks,
