BELOW ARE SOME MORE OF THE SIGHTS TO TAKE IN WHILE HIKING ON THE PATHS OF CARRDINTON VALLEY. THE HIGHER YOU GO AND THE FARTHER AWAY FROM THE CAR PARKS, THE NARROWER THE PATHS GET. STILL, THEY ARE VERY MANAGEABLE. AT ANY TIME DURING A WALK, SHEEP ARE AROUND SOMEWHERE NEARBY. IT IS COMFORTING, SOMEHOW, TO FEEL AS IF THERE ARE OTHER LIVING CREATURES CALMLY ENJOYING THE DAY. IT ADDS TO THE PEACE AND SERENITY OF THE MOMENT. IT IS AWESOME! A FEW OF THE PICS ARE OF THE FOXGLOVE THAT GROWS WITH ABANDON ON THE HILLSIDES. COME AUGUST, THESE SAME GREEN HILLS WILL BE PURPLE WITH HEATHER.

AFTER LUNCH......

.......I WOULD DRIVE A SHORT DISTANCE TO THE CARDINGTON VALLEY. THIS IS AN AMAZING AREA THAT IS PRESERVED BY THE NATIONAL TRUST. WHETHER YOU WANT TO SIT BY THE BROOK OR HIKE THE BRACKEN AND HEATHER HILLS, THIS IS AN AWESOME WAY TO SPEND PART OF YOUR DAY. FAMILIES WOULD PICNIC AND WADE IN THE STREAM AND COUPLES WOULD READ OR NAP, JUST TO ENJOY AND APPRECIATE THIS WONDERFUL PART OF NATURE.

LIFE IS GOOD

MY VERY FAVORITE PLACE TO HAVE LUNCH WAS IN A TOWN NAMED "CHURCH STRETTON". BERRY'S COFFEE HOUSE HAD THE FRESHEST AND MOST DELICIOUS FOOD IN THE AREA. AS AN ADDED BONUS, THEY HAD A WALLED IN GARDEN COURTYARD TO EAT IN ON REASONABLE WEATHER DAYS. I TRIED TO EAT THERE SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. THE MEAL BELOW IS AN EXAMPLE: A BOWL OF ASSORTED SALADS THAT WERE MADE WITH FRESH, LOCAL ,INGREDIENTS , ALONG WITH A PLATE OF HOMEMADE GRAINERY BREAD, LOCALLY MADE BUTTER AND A YUMMY CUP OF CAPPUCCINO. YUM!!!! THE SCENERY WAS MY DESSERT.

SAFELY HOME

HELLO DEAR BLOGGER FRIENDS. I'M HOME AND HAVE TERRIBLE JET LAG. ALL I WANT TO DO IS SLEEP, AND THAT'S NOT LIKE ME AT ALL! I HAVE LOTS OF PICTURES TO SHARE AND TALES TO TELL, BUT ALL IN GOOD TIME. BELOW ARE A FEW PIC OF THE COTTAGE THAT WAS MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR 5 WEEKS. THE TIME WENT SO FAST, YET IN SOME WAYS SEEMED LIKE I WAS GONE FOREVER.

THE FIRST SATURDAY OF MY HOLIDAY, I WENT TO A VINTAGE AND HANDMADE FARE THAT WAS 2 HOURS FROM MY COTTAGE. I DIDN'T BUY A THING NOR DID I GET TO MEET ANY OF THE BLOGGER FRIENDS THAT WERE PUTTING ON THE SHOW AS THE HALL WAS PACKED WITH PEOPLE! I SPENT OVER AN HOUR TRYING TO SEE THEIR GOODIES, BUT ENDED UP JUST MOVING OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES WAY. I THINK THEY HAVE A GOOD THING GOING AND I'M SORRY THAT I WASN'T ABLE SHOP THERE.

IN THE DAYS AHEAD I WILL BE ABLE TO BORE EVERYONE WITH MY PICTURES AND STORIES. CONSIDER YOURSELVES FOREWORNED! CHEERS!
