Do you ever get sidetracked? Happens to me all the time! Every day, several times a day! Just can't help it! I started cleaning out a basket that holds a lot of my yarns and fibers, when I ran across an unfinished project. (A frequent occurrence in my house!) The hubs said "what the heck is that"? (another frequent occurrence in my house!) What it was, was the start of a hat that was crochet out of long strips of fabric. Not wanting to throw it away, I thought it might make a good cover for a houseplant. So I took some twine and stitched folds, willy nilly, on the sides to make it tighter, felted some wool pieces into it and added two sweet heart shaped drawer pulls to make it look more pot like. Now I have a perfect cover for the ugly plastic pot that was disgracing this innocent African violet..........And a big thank you to Kathleen at Faded Charm for hosting WW.

Such a lucky African Violet! Very creative & beautiful!
Must be standard for hubbys to say "What the heck is that?" - I hear that one a lot too!
Happy Wednesday,
Zuzu
Sounds a lot like the same questions I hear and the sidetracking happens way too often.
I like what you did, for the plant. Even just a band for pots with holes in the bottom would be great.
I like it, perfect for your plant. Yep, hubby's are good for that line.

Judy...do you think there is anyway you could rub off some of your creativity on me? You could make a dirty sock something special!
I remember a looong time ago when I first visited your blog and you wowed me with your artwork, well it has continued to do just that with everything you show us.

WHAT IS IT WITH THIS CHICKEN S#*T BOX THING? IF PEOPLE HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, AND WANT TO BE LISTENED TO, WHY CAN'T THEY BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES? GEEEZE!
He he I was beginning to think it was only me that got these funny little unidentified comments. Well I love the flower pot - I think I need to be more imaginative with my creations!! Love the vintage stash - lucky you.

Hello Judy(Ama waving and smiling ;)
Violets are my favorite house plant and I do not have one in the house. No windowsills and my baywindow gets too hot for them.
My mother had a cartfull that, every morning when I got out of bed, looked like glitter flowers to my young eyes.
A wonderful memory as I am missing my mother today.
Thank you for bringing her spirit close to me today.
And thank you for visiting my friend.
Blessings and Happy Spring
Love
Ama
