DO YOU EVER WONDER............

........HOW BLOGGERS CHOOSE THEIR BLOG BANNERS? I DO. IT'S KIND OF FUN TO SPECULATE WHAT INFLUENCED THEIR CHOICE. SINCE I'M IN LOVE WITH ENGLAND AND MOST THINGS ASSOCIATED WITH IT, I WANTED TO BE REMINDED OF THE WONDERFUL GARDENS AND THE STONE WALLS THAT ARE SCATTERED ABOUT THE COUNTRY. HENCE, MY BANNER IS A CLOSE UP OF THE GARDEN WALL THAT IS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR OF THE COTTAGE I RENT EVERY YEAR. THOSE LITTLE WALLS ARE ABOUT THREE HUNDRED YEARS OLD AND THOSE SWEET LITTLE FLOWERS HAVE VOLUNTEERED TO LIVE IN THE MOSS ENCRUSTED SEAMS. THE BANNER DOESN'T SHOW IT, BUT THESE WALLS ARE ALSO HOME TO SOME HOUSELEEKS AND SOME TINY LITTLE FERNS. THE LITTLE CEMENT ANGEL IN THE SEA-SHELL IS WHAT I LEFT THE HAPPY FLOWERS AS A GIFT ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO.

TOMMORROW I PLAN ON POSTING ABOUT THE KANE FLEA MARKET. I WAS TOO WORN OUT FROM THE BUSY WEEK-END TO DOWNLOAD AND EDIT THE PICTURES I HAVE TAKEN. TODAY I WAS JUST A COUCH SLUG! P.S. GOOD MORNING TRISH!

Sweet post! And isn't it amazing the variety of plant life (and no doubt, animal/insect life) that choose to live in old walls! I like your banner very much and it's nice to know what inspired you to have it on your blog - thank you! Warm wishes, Vxx

We have a stone wall across the front of our house too & currently a few foxgloves are making themselves at home there!

We were slugs on Monday too...just unloaded the van today! Hope you had a good show and we look forward to having more time to visit next month- though being busy is not a BAD thing...though it got in the way of our socializing...geez....

How sweet of you to remember! I went straight to your shop when I left the show and now am the happy owner of the little cubby box. Thank you. Love, Love, Love the shop.

TO SEE PICS OF THE CROWDS AT LAST WEEK-ENDS FLEA MARKET, JUST CLICK ON ANITA'S NAME IN THE ABOVE COMMENT. SHE'S ONE-HALF OF THE IOWA JUNK GYPSEY GIRLS. SHE'S RIGHT, IT WAS SOOO BUSY, WE HAD NO TIME TO VISIT EACH OTHER! THAT'S NOT A COMPLAINT BECAUSE IT FELT SO GOOD TO BE BUSY LIKE IT WAS BACK IN THE DAY1
